The El Segundo Public Library presents a FREE concert performance by the Itty Bitty Big Band on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Library's Community Room.
The Itty Bitty Big Band plays fresh, cool arrangements from the Great American Songbook, compositions written by jazz giants, and even versions of popular tunes by the Beatles and Steely Dan. This repertoire showcases the musicians’ improvisational skills and their joy in sharing this truly original American art form called jazz! All are performed with appreciation by this group of excellent and experienced Los Angeles area musicians.
The seven members include pianist Taura Smith, Nicolas De Gaulejac on drums, trumpeter Carvel Holloway, saxophonist Dereck McLyn, Al Tarver on trombone, and guitarist Greg Long. Bandleader and founder Liz Lubin is the group’s bassist. The Itty Bitty Big Band plays at restaurants, community centers, seniors' residences, libraries, and private events.
