*Please note - a deposit fee will be added to the first water bill if you are renting/leasing a residential or commercial property. The current deposit amounts are listed at the bottom of the Water Service Request form application.

El Segundo residents receive bi-monthly water bills. Most businesses receive monthly water bills. The water is billed in arrears for the past months. Once the bill is generated, it becomes due within 21 days of the billing date.

There are three ways to pay your water bill:

1. Pay online using the El Segundo Utilities Service Portal
2. Pay by check using U.S. Mail. Send your payment to:

3. Pay in person at City Hall. See the Cashier at the Business License/Public Works Counter or use the drop-box located at the main entrance.

There is a 21-day requirement for payments. After 21 days, a past due (late notice) is generated and mailed or emailed. At this time, your account is considered delinquent and a $15.00 late fee will be assessed on the bill. The City will disconnect your water service if your account has been delinquent for 60 or more days. At least 10 days before disconnection, the City will post written notice and assess a $33.00 "red tag fee." 

If you service is disconnected, a $91.00 shut-off fee is applied. An additional $54.00 reconnection fee will be applied if the service is to be resumed. If you are unable to pay your bill, please call us at 310-524-2319 to explore payment plan options and prevent disconnection.

If your service is shut off due to nonpayment, payment must be made either online or in person at City Hall:

• An additional $54.00 re-connection fee will be applied if service is to be resumed
• If you choose to make an online payment, your service will only be reconnected once the City can verify the payment was received. This must be done during City business hours. 
• Payments received after City business hours for a water service shut off for nonpayment will remain off until the next business day. On the next business day finance staff will verify payment was received and water staff will reconnect the service.
